Who are we?

We are Santander Consumer Finance Benelux. As a leading consumer finance company wholly owned by Santander Group, we are present in 16 European countries as well as in Canada and China. This makes us one of the largest financial institutions in the world. Our main activities are consumer loans (i.e. personal loan, revolving credit and debit card with credit) and car financing through various channels.

Our main office is in Utrecht. We also have an office in Merelbeke, Belgium

Corporate behaviours
Our culture encompasses five corporate behaviours. These behaviours are the hallmark of our culture and are meant to guide how we work and how we live the Santander brand. These behaviours are built around a single word: T.E.A.M.S. Each letter represents a behaviour, making them simple and easy to remember.

We are Santander Week: the initiative to promote our culture
Every year we celebrate the “Santander Week”, recognising we are a leading organisation that, though global and diverse, shares a common culture.

Over the course of the week, which takes place every year in September in the various geographies where Santander is present, we carry out activities that encourage pride in belonging to the Group, organise conferences on sustainability and innovation, promote healthy habits and organise charity and sporting initiatives for teams or families to take part in.

Formula 1® shows that it can also face the challenge of sustainability without losing the magic of its spectacle. Banco Santander contributes to this as a sponsor of Ferrari. Together, with the help of Formula One Management (FOM), we find the best ally for this mission in technology. Achieving a sustainable model based on net zero carbon emissions involves innovating and this team works for it and thus promotes the change that the planet deserves.
