  • The Amsterdam Career Days (ACD) is the largest career event in Amsterdam. The ACD is organized by students for students. Its aim is to guide students in their choices at the beginning of their careers. Through various business presentations, case studies, training, lunches, dinners and other informal activities, you will be able to find out more about a wide range of multinationals and other companies!

  • This year, the Amsterdam Career Days will be held at Hotel Casa Amsterdam. The address is: Eerste Ringdijkstraat 4, 1097 BC Amsterdam.

  • Please try to reset your password, this should grant you access again to your personal ACD account. We're sorry for the inconvenience! If this still does not work, please write us an email at info@acd.nu.

  • You can register until 16 February 2024, 23:59

  • These are the meeting rooms at our venue, named after some the worlds most prestigious academic institutions. All formal activities of the ACD 2024 will be held at the Hotel Casa, Eerste Ringdijkstraat 4, 1097 BC Amsterdam. Click on the picture below to see the floor plan of the venue!

     

  • After the registration deadline (16 February 23:59) all activities that require CV-selection are closed and sent through to the companies that make the selection. Unfortunately we cannot add students after this deadline. However, Presentations, Speaker Events, and a handful of other activities that still have spots left, remain open until a few days before the event!

  • The dresscode for the Amsterdam Career Days is business formal.

  • Although our focus is on business students, there are several activities that could be of interest to every student!

    • Speaker event: Get inspired by the story of successful entrepreneurs and CEOs. Listen to their story and ask all of your questions!
    • Training: A training is the perfect way for you to develop yourself. Do you have some time left between the informal and formal activities of the Amsterdam Career Days? Then take this opportunity to take your skills to the next level!
    • Career corner: This is the perfect place to kickstart your career! In the career corner you have the opportunity to receive feedback on your CV and LinkedIn. Furthermore, we offer a personal branding training and career counseling. Find out more on our website by filtering companies on the sector ‘career corner’. 
  • Everyone is welcome to apply, however, Amsterdam Career Days is an offline event, and therefore you would have to be present for your selected activities.

  • The ACD 2024 will take place this year at Hotel Casa Amsterdam! There are no restrictions from the government this year so the event is allowed to take place with its maximum capacity. We will of course take appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety for everyone involved by complying to the most recent governmental guidelines.

    Disclaimer: if there will be changes in the weeks prior to the event regarding the possibility to host an offline event, we will come up with an appropriate alternative to still host the event. This alternative will be in line with the guidelines of the RIVM.

  • If you cannot register through our website, please contact us at info@acd.nu and we will get back to you shortly with a solution.

  • The ticket-price is €7,95. This will grant you full access to all activities during the Amsterdam Career Days.

  • If a student does not attend his/her activity or cancels it too late, we use the IBAN to fine the student. For more details, read our terms and conditions at https://www.amsterdamcareerdays.nl/terms-conditions/

  • Most likely, the reason why your CV does not upload is because the document is not in Word (.doc/.docx) or PDF (.pdf) format. Make sure you upload your CV in one of these formats.

  • For some activities a selection of participants has to be made. To get selected, it is in the first place important that you upload your CV and anonymized CV. Companies will choose students who suit best their preferred job profiles and wishes based on the anonymized CVs. 

    An anonymized CV is a CV without your personal details.

    Your anonymized CV may NOT include:

    • Profile photo 
    • Name
    • Gender
    • Date of birth
    • Birthplace
    • Nationality 
    • Phone number
    • (email) address
    • Social media

    Photos or any other information that can make the selection subjective or can be used by a company to contact you

    Note: You do not have to remove the dates of your education/experience

  •  

    • Case: With a group of 25 CV-selected students you will be taken into the work field of a company. This is the perfect way to get to know the company better in an interactive yet formal manner. By doing this, you will get an impression of the work you could do in the future! 
    • Speeddates: Do you want to talk to different employees from different departments? Then speeddates is the activity for you! The speeddates is an interactive activity where students can ask questions and speak to different employees or departments of the company while being in small groups with other students. Every 10 minutes you will speak to another employee.
    • Presentation: A presentation is the best way to get a first impression of a company. During a presentation the company provides you with information about their culture, career opportunities and activities. You will also have the possibility to ask questions. 
    • Individual Meetings: Are you ready to take the next step and get in contact with a company on an individual level? During an individual meeting you get the chance to explore the possibilities the company of your choice has to offer! An individual meeting gives you the opportunity to ask all your questions!

    • Lunch: Having lunch together with the employees of a company is a good way to ask your questions in a relaxed setting. With a group of 15 CV-selected students you will join the company for lunch. This is a good way to get to know the company atmosphere as well.
    • Diner: A company dinner offers you the chance to ask your questions to the employees of a company. By doing this you will get a taste of a delicious meal and, moreover, a taste of the work atmosphere of the company. A company dinner is the perfect way to end your day at the Amsterdam Career Days!
    • High Wine: Taste several wines and bites during the High Wine while connecting with the recruiters of a company. During this 1.5 hour session, you can ask all your questions in a relaxed and informal setting and get to know more about the opportunities that a company has for you.
    • Beer tasting: During this 1.5 hour session, you can enjoy a selection of beers while connecting with the employees of the company. You can ask all your questions in a relaxed and informal setting while also getting to know more about a selection of different beers. 
    • Barista Workshop: Learn to make some delicious coffee while getting to know a company and their employees better in an informal setting! Besides gaining information on your self-brewed coffee, you have the possibility to ask a company all your questions.
    • Sports Activity: Engage in a sports activity while getting to know a company and its employees better in an informal setting! Besides being physically active, you have the possibility to ask the company all your questions. During the sports activity, Padel will be played!
    • Network Cruise: Joining the network cruise gives you the possibility to have a drink with several employees in an informal and relaxed setting. The perfect opportunity to ask all your burning questions and learn more about what working at a specific company entails while enjoying the lovely canals of Amsterdam. 
  • To get selected, it is in the first place important that you upload your CV. Companies will choose students who suit best their preferred job profiles and wishes. You increase your chances by uploading an up-to-date CV and to register for multiple activities.

  • If you unsubscribe at least two workdays before the day your activity takes place, you won't receive a fine.
    Beware: only cancellations that were done before 5 PM are accepted. If you unsubscribe later than 5 PM, two days before the activity, a fine of €20,- will apply.

    For example:
    If you are registered for an activity at the ACD on Thursday March 7, you need to deregister at least before 5 PM on Tuesday March 5 in order to not get a fine. Would you deregister at 5:01 PM or later on March 5, this means a fine will be charged.

    Deregistration should take place through email (info@acd.nu). The fine will be collected automatically after the ACD. See the terms & conditions.

  • If you do not unsubscribe at all for an activity at the ACD, a fine of €25,- will be charged. Deregistration should take place through email (info@acd.nu) or call us (Only during the ACD from 08:00-18:00). The fine will be collected automatically after the ACD. See the terms & conditions.

  • If you unsubscribe less than 48 hours before an activity, you will receive a fine of €20,-
